Matt Lestock started his career in internet media by hosting a wildly popular adult oriented talk show for nearly 6 years. After a chance encounter with Hak5, he joined the cast of Hak5 in August of 2007 where he is now a co-host. Focusing on all things related to systems administration, Matt has proven that you don’t need to be a rocket scientist to succeed in the world of tech. When not filming or recording, Matt is a Systems Architect for a software consulting firm where he manages that company’s infrastructure. @hak5matt

Paul came online around 2001, web 1.0 had failed and he was force to work with the computers. Moving from electronic drafting to Systems Administrations; Paul had finally decided to contribute back to the internet by working with the Hak5 show as a camera man. Now as a producer he generates segments on the Mac and Linux side as well as being the main man behind the filming. Paul can also be seen offline talking to statues in parks.

Shannon was first introduced to the world of arts and technology when she was a child. Her father would build computers as a hobby, and Shannon would enjoy everything from video games to building websites. After building her very own PC, she discovered an obsessive love for tech, gaming, and everything web 2.0. She found a love of the arts in school, joining theatre presentations and choirs until becoming a member of the International Thespian Society. She was soon introduced to the John Robert Powers Acting Agency where she learned about television and theatre performance. Shannon began her journey in the world of New Media and Podcasting in 2005, and graduated from Missouri State University in May of 2008. Once being able to escape her hometown, Shannon found her way to the East Coast as a co-host for Hak5. @snubs

Abstract

The topic for the nights event will be a sort of "Best of Hak5" where we will be highlighting our favorite segments from years past. I know for fact I'll be talking about computer security with a twist on exploiting human trust and physical access. I'll be demo'ing a few hacking devices as well as one never before seen device that attacks computers on cross-platforms, all versions, patched or unpatched. I'm assuming Matt will be talking networking, virtualization and other IT pro stuff. Shannon said she would be doing some gaming stuff and probably some password cracking/bypassing, encryption and Linux device stuff.
