Hak5 (http://www.hak5.org), a group of software and hardware hackers and gamers, will be podcasting LIVE from Virginia Tech's campus this Saturday at 7pm! The show is located in Torgersen 2150. If you're interested in gaming, software hacking, or hardware modding, then this podcast is for you. The group will be handing out giveaways throughout the show and refreshments will be provided.

Put together by a band of IT ninjas, security professionals and hardcore gamers, Hak5 isn’t your typical tech show. They take on hacking in the old-school sense, covering everything from network security, open source and forensics, to DIY modding and the homebrew scene. They wrap it all up with a healthy dose of geek comedy. Forget the warranties, it’s time to Trust your Technolust!

Past Hak5 projects include remote-controlling a Media Center using a mobile phone, hacking a CVS digital camera, building a laser audio transmitter for an iPod, constructing a MAME machine, developing the USB switchblade, creating the Hak5 Rainbow Tables community, and much more! Recent topics have included software exploits involving SSL, exploring virtualization technology, and WiFi network scanners.

This Saturday, Nov. 7th, Hak5 will be covering topics including how to compromise computer security, game console hacking, and virtualization.

So, if you're the type of student who loves to tinker with devices to see how they work, learn about cool new software exploits, play video games, or just have a good time - come join Hak5 for their LIVE podcast this Saturday, Nov. 7th, at 7pm in Torgersen 2150. Trust your Technolust!

Hope to see you out there!
